Cultural Note

The Dala horse, or Dalahst, is one of Swedens most iconic folk symbols, traditionally carved and painted in the Dalarna region. Originally a handcrafted toy, it has come to represent Swedish craftsmanship, hospitality, and national pride. The word Vlkommen reflects the deep-rooted value of welcoming guests with warmth and generosity. Together, these elements create a piece that honors Swedish heritage while offering everyday utility and charm.
